Game Resources
Gravity has an intricate resource management system built in, the game in its pure essence is a farming game where players are continuously upgrading their Heros and Loot. Resources can be earned by completing quests in the main campaign quests, daily quests, weekly quests and bounties. They can also be purchased from the in-game store or in the case of the GRAV token, purchased from the open market or earned via the leaderboard system.
Experience (XP)
The most common resource that the player will interact with throughout their journey. XP will be earned mostly via completing the main story campaign quests and later on, class and faction specific quests as well as group content like dungeons and raids. The number of XP earned by players via campaign quests is a fixed amount per quest that increases proportionally as the Hero Level increases and as they progress throughout the campaign zones.
Celestial Power (CP)
This is the most important resource to manage by the player. Celestial Power is a rare resource that can drop from campaign quests, daily quests and weekly quests. Celestial Power has a 100% drop chance from campaign and weekly quests and has a 50% chance of dropping from daily quests. Celestial Power is used in the purchase of powerful Loot from the in-game vendor. This in-game vendor provides a way for players to get the items they want if they continuously do not get them via the loot boxes dropped at the end of each successful quest. CP is also used in the healing of Heroes and repair of their loot later in the game. CP can also be used as part of the enhancement system for Loot. Once the player reaches Level 20, there will be buffs that empower players on their journey and will involve CP as a cost.
Gold
Gold is the most easily obtainable currency throughout the player’s interactions within the game. It can be earned from quest rewards whether they are campaign quests, daily quests, weekly quests and bounties. Later on during the in-game progression Gold can drop from group content. Gold is also used in the healing of Heroes and replenishing their durability. Gold can also be used as part of the ascension system for Loot.
Primal Nether
A rare resource currently available through the Enchanted Emporium (in-game store). This is crucial to higher level Durability replenishment, as well as loot enhancement, levelling up your affinity crystal as well as faction reputation farming. It has a very low percentage drop chance from campaign quests as well as missions.
Durability
The game comes with a durability system that is designed to be a cost of questing for the player. For each successfully completed quest, the Hero would lose a small percentage of their durability rating, while being more heavily penalized for failing to complete a quest.
Enhancement Points
Enhancement points are needed to upgrade the attributes of the chosen Loot item as shown in the Loot section of the whitepaper. Enhancement points are earned via sacrificing unwanted Loot items, the higher the rarity of the sacrificed Loot item, the more enhancement points a player will earn. As shown above, only Loot items of Rare quality or better can be enhanced. Enhancement Points are also earned by using Gold, Celestial Power and Primal Nether.
Achievement Points
Achievement points are the points earned by completing in-game actions such as campaign quests, daily quests, weekly quests or bounties. These points are tallied at the end of every day and posted on the public Leaderboard, where the players with the highest AP earn the highest share of the stablecoin reward prize pool. The power score of the Hero is also taken into account within their total AP calculation within the leaderboards.
In principle, the number of AP points earned by the player for completing specific actions within the game are shown below:
Type of Quest | Achievement Points |
---|---|
Campaign Quests | 200 AP |
Daily Quests | 100 AP |
Weekly Quests | 250 AP |
Bounties | 50 AP |
